We are currently accepting submissions from writers for two upcoming anthologies!

WILD WOMEN

Editors JL Lori and Claire Matthews

An anthology of writers exploring their connection to the environment and the wilderness, both within and without.

We are seeking creative nonfiction, personal essays, and poetry exploring the following topics: the environment, eco-spirituality, eco-feminism perspectives, outdoor sports, country living, camping, connection to nature, healing through nature, climate change, deforestation, pollution, gardening, farming, food production and consumption, animals and anthropomorphic connections, earth-body relationship, eco-sex, Indigenous land and water rights, oceanic connections and conservation, feminine psychology, earth-based rituals and Goddess worship, and any other fierce femme writing!

Details:

Open to women, trans, and non binary writers.

Nonfiction or poetry only. No fiction submissions.

All submissions will be considered for the print publication and may also be included online.

Limit 3000 words per submission. For poetry 2 poems max per submission.

We will consider previously published work but prefer new and original work. Please indicate if the submission has been previously published and provide the citation.

Please include a cover letter and a 2-3 sentence bio with your submission.

You may submit as many pieces as you like, but each piece must be a separate submission.

Simultaneous submissions welcome, but please let us know if the work is accepted elsewhere.

We will not be providing feedback on pieces not selected for publication.

Submission period: August 1 to November 30, 2020

Accepted contributors will be paid $40 CAD per piece plus 1 contributor copy.

FEMS, FAE & FANTASY

An anthology of writers exploring the realms of fantasy and fairy tale.

We are seeking creative nonfiction, personal essays, fiction, and poetry covering the following topics: fantasy and magical realism stories; fractured fairy tales; modern fairy tale retellings; fables and folklore; urban legends; fairy tale commentary and critical analysis; mermaids, phoenixes, dragons and other mythical creatures; cultural mythology translations; magic and rituals; proverbs and allegories; superstitions; chants and charms; ghost stories; transformations; nature Goddesses; trickster Gods; and any other fantastical work!

Open to women, trans and non binary writers.

All submissions will be considered for the print publication and may also be included online.

An anthology of writers exploring the modern politics of the female body.

We’re seeking creative nonfiction, personal essays, poetry, and fiction exploring the following topics: body politics, feminist rights and laws, illness, wellness, gender based heath, gender identity, transgender concerns and surgeries, Covid-19 pandemic and quarantine, menstruation and menopause, croning, pregnancy and birth, death and death care, sex, food, housing and shelter, fat and fat phobia, pleasure, pain, gender and sexual based violence, female genital mutilation, tattooing and piercing, sexual orientation and expression, BDSM, abortion and reproductive rights, women’s body-mind spirituality, and anything else that deals with the feminine body!

Open to women, trans, and non binary writers.
